WHO WE ARE

Rafa Institute Of Disability Care Studies, KENYA is a religious based institution that was formed with an aim to offer quality Training and Home-Based Care Services for persons abled differently as well as the Elderly.

SCOPE OF CARE

Our Special Needs caregivers are trained to understand causes and effects (social and physical) of common disability conditions

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We work closely with those affected in the community in our Free Special Needs Care Program. We identified a few needy families with Disabled family members and public Special Schools And give them care related assistance.

OUR MISSION

We work closely with those affected in the community in our Free Special Needs Care Program. We identified a few needy families with Disabled family members and public Special Schools And give them free homecare services.

 All this is documented and aimed at bringing back independence to the affected. Good care has proved effective in reversing some complications of immobility as well as educating the public on the same. This has been running from 2016.

OUTCOME OF OUR INTERVENTION

  • Reduced cost of care and mortality rates among those affected. 
  • Reduced cases of Depression among patients and family members of those affected. 
  • Increased numbers of youth getting employment.
  •  Decreased number of re-hospitalization due to improved home care.
  •  Improved quality of life among those affected. 
  • Special schools and homes for the aged are able to run smoothly due to better trained staff.
